It was exciting to celebrate Evie's birthday in Perth. Although she does not seem to quite get it yet, being more excited about the watermelon then the cake...

And the sparklers did not empress her at all.

I am now somewhat of a veteran of air travel but I like through inspection of the aircraftEvie had a much different approach to entertainment on the plane than I did & fortunately for Mum & Dad had a good sleep in the bassinet
I sat pretty much like this for about.... ah 4 hours maybe!

Someone had their 1st Birthday party.....

& look what she learnt to do on the day....
I had my 1st montessori white christmas concert, I sang jingle bells and away in a manger, and there was decorations including a nativity scene, and santa handed out adult size stockings of cadbury chocolates.....Dad unbeknownst to me has eaten a few but I surprised mum with a comprehensive list of all my chocolates that I have in the cupboard...sometimes not so great for Mum & Dad that I have a memory like s steel trap....
Aunty Irene and Uncle Gordon came to visit & Met Ev for the first time....she cried when they left so they must have made a good impression as Aunty & Uncle :)

Ev has discovered she can climb onto my bed, so can join the 3'big kids' up there playing now - though mostly Sharlie & I close my door when they are here & the little girls r left to play in the lounge, so we can play big kid games....
But occaisionaly Ev & Millie get some playtime - admittedly Sharlie & I were in the bath getting ready 4 bed when Millie & Sharlie came for the arvo/evening last saturday
I have been making my way through bible verses, stories and activities for Christmas with my advent calander - here I'm studiously making a gingerbread house - was rather impressive.
My 1st ever Ballet concert! Mum said I did fabulously and Aunty 'Cole said Dad was beaming with pride as I danced :) I have really LOVED my dance lessons and would like to do some more, but will again probably do some ballet & some soccer next year I think....(hopefully some vids to follow, computer not agreeing with them at the moment...)

Our block of flats had a Christmas BBQ last night, Daddy organised it all & we had a great time, here's my mate Sajid, sadly he is moving next march - I will miss him alot!!

Preschool had an incurision today (after 2 false starts due to rain) We had pony rides and farm animals, I loved the pony ride, I decided I'd like to race horses when I'm older, Mum said I will probably not have a jockeys stature given neither mum or dad are petite, so we discussed other horse riding careers, I have chosen polo.

Daddy has been on holidays and we went to one of our favourite beaches. We had beautiful winter sun, perfect for my little sisters fair skin... Praise God for his awesome creation

Dad has been sick the last few days (& mum has to work extra hard) but he wanted to get out this afternoon & we walked along Cooks River to Adore cafe, were you get a awesome chocolate with your coffee or babicino for that matter...

I have really enjoyed climbing lately, sometimes Dad's been a bit 'heart in throat' at some of my monkeying around but he doesn't show it and mostly just says I can do it...

Mum & Dad got cheap Zoo passes so I have been a few times in the last few weeks with Dad & friends, I am catching up to the emperor penguins but am not there yet...

I have been with Mum to look at a preschool probably for next year, I am Very excited!!!
Ev has started 'chatting' mum tried to put up a video but it isnt working at the moment :( She is also very social & knows what she wants, she is very good at rolling about & loves sitting up in her high chair or with Mum's help. She ADORES me & also really enjoys hanging out with her cousin Amelia who is 11 months & they both get very excited when they see eachother - a delight for us all.

Uncle Pete & Aunty Leila are long time friends of Mum & Dad, & My pseudo God parents ( as we r in a baptist church we dont have god parents per se but they are my equivilant, Godly, lovely, delightful Christian friends) I got to go with dad 2 pick them up from the airport on Sunday night & they came around for dinner last night - I get VERY excited when they come around!!! & LOVE playing with them! We had the delightful Tamara, Daddy's cousin as well as my dearly loved Uncle Pete & Aunty Rachael round yesterday, in fact Uncle Pete & Aunty Rachael are on their way round again now - I got to have my bath early & drive around to get them in my PJ's - what an adventure! - I reminisced with dad about going out in my PJs with Opa whe we visited last - that was on a Kangaroo hunt, not an Uncle Pete, Aunty Rachael hunt though.... I have loved catching up with them all(as have Mum & Dad!!) - though I was a little dissappointed that the kids couldn't visit too.
It was also a delight to introduce Miss Evie to them - though she was a wee bit tired so not in her usual charmingly happy mood, a little more on the subdued side.

Here I am cooking pancakes with daddy 4 Mumm's birthday - Evie & I conferred, we decided we should give mum a sleep in - I got up after 7 & Evie after 8... meant daddy was running a bit late though....Here I am playing with 'Sanjib' (Mummy still isnt sure if its Sanjib, Sanjeet or something similar, she needs to ask his mum 2 write it down for us) we are playing Cricket - our Dad's like discusing the world cup so we thought we'd have a play -Sanjib lives in the unit above us & his family is Bangladeshi - we LOVE playing with eachother running about & being rowdy boys....
Here i demonstrate my climbing obsession - & my playmate Esther from church, shes lives around the corner and also has a baby sister about 2 months older than Evie...
Here's Evie & our cousin Amelia...I really enjoy singing & dancing for them! May favorite song currently is "I am captain Barnacle" = which is repeated over & over with dance moves...which leads me to my families names...I have renamed them all - I have twice renamed myself first a few months ago Steve for a few days, then Sharelle for a week or so, the last few weeks though I have been Captain Barnacle( for those who do not have the pleasure of watching the Octonauts he is a polar bear captain of a little band of underwater adventurers) Mummy is 'Mummy Peso' and Evie is 'Baby Peso', they get to share the role of the penguin medic on the aforementioned show, & daddy is Kwazii the ex pirate cat on the same. Granny gets to be Professor Inkling - the studious cuttlefish(a step up from grubby the grub in dirtgirl world from a few weeks ago)
Granny AKA Proffessor Inkling took me to the Opera house Baby Proms last friday, we got 2 sing, dance & bang on some drums after - I still remember some of the dances & had a great time! Evie & mum came and met us afterwards - Evie had her first train trip & wander around the city.

I Love hanging out with Evie as you will see here, every time Ev wakes up I like to give her a kiss & say 'Good Morning Miss Evie' I also love singing her our Evie songs 'Evie Evie hair hang down' My modification of a classic & 'Evie Miss Evie you're a little girl yes you are you are' sund to the tune of Timmy Time theme song if you happen 2 watch shows like that.....

Evie here...just so you dont think our relationship is purely onesided..I love Smiling at & watching My big brother too :)

One of the TV shows I like is "Dirt Girl" a bit of a hippie enviro show. Here I am one of the characters - scrap boy in my workshop... its fun playing with Dad's tools & things...
We went to the Coogee beach last week with a friend, Saige, (& her Dad) from church, the waves were really big & I loved playing in the sand & with my new surfboard ... correction... kickboard

Sometimes I can't get to the beach but can still enjoy the water... he he he the gumboots became a little redundent at this point...

I have also started Soccerrrrrrr... & I even told my coaches hip holland hip...

But that does not mean I am not able to enjoy other things, like dancing in a tutu...

Well mum & dad seem to be over talking about Evie drinking

but now can't stop talking about Evie's gas & poo, I don't really get why its so interesting??

I still get really excited to see "my baby sister" & want to help out when she's crying

Meanwhile I have been able to spend more time with Dad while he is still on holidays we have been to the park heaps, & the shops, done lots of washing & watched a fair bit of cricket, which is pretty dull until Dad gets all excited & I join in (though I'm not really sure why or whats really happen?). But sometimes I pick what we watch!

We checked out a local water play park the other day,

& visited the zoo again with our annual pass

I have also been to a couple of birthday parties, & one of them had a jumping castle woo hoo!

I was snorkling this afternoon & caught a croc & an eel! Take a look...

Happy 2011! I have been thoroughly enjoying the new year with Evie, I am still a very big fan & love kissing her & holding her, & helping out however i can with her. (which is a delight for Mum & dad!!) I have been doing loads of things with Dad which has been great, dad has been working very hard around the house while Mum & Evie try & rest & get feeding under control.

A little morning stretch... Evie is a very good sleeper & has to be woken for most feeds, & happily sleeps very well at night - Prasie God!

I am very excited that my little baby sister has been born, I had been telling her 'Hurry up and come out' and now she is here, I very proudly show everyone my baby. I love giving her kisses & snuggles & helping Mum & Dad look after her.

Brisbane Bosmas Back again :)

Delighfully the Brisbane Bosmas are in sydney again Yay!! I have been having sooooooo much fun with them While Uncle Pete & Aunty Rach had part of their candidates course on Thursday & Friday Mum, Dad & I got 2 hang with the kids - such a delight. We spent Thurs at Manly & Fri at 'the big house' a house we house sat a few weeks back with Providenntially they wanted us to housesit this weekend! Praise God plenty of room 2 enjoy & a pool. Today we also had a Bosma Christmas lunch seeing as we dont really get 2 ever have Christmas with Dad's side of the family.

Josh & Nathan very generously bought us all gifts from their own pocket money on top of the family gifts - a lovely spirit of generoosity at Christmas we thought!

Daddy took me down the mightly (dirty) cooks river, just near our house, for a quick fishing adventure. I was excited because last time we almost landed a BIG eel (it snapped the fishing line). I really like finding the worms that we use for the bait...

And after not long at all we landed a great fish (at first I thought it was be a bream or snapper because Dad has been teaching me to find these at the Burwood fish shop) but Dad said it was a Luderick... I didn't really want to touch it as it was flipping about & looked a bit tricky to hold... It was about 30cm long. Daddy was also excited & some other people came over & thought it was pretty amazing!

I really wanted to take it home to eat, but Dad said it might be a bit dirty & we should ring the fisheries & check for next time

Baby Mia....with her Mummy & Daddy - just a couple of weeks old. Yesterday morning mum went to get some pictures of Baby Peanut, I decided that I would like a sister & asked If I could pray & ask God for one, & it looks pretty certain that I will be having a little sister. Here are some pics of peanut after mums longest ever Ultrasound - Miss peanut is a very energetic little lass - somehow jumping up & down, grabbing at the cord & at her leg, doing lots of turns, a lovely big yawn & then proceeding to refuse to move when needed - all kept Mum very entertained!

Dad won a Dean's medal prize for coming in the top 2% of his yr in teaching last yr, sadly we are missing the ceremony :( as I have a virus & Mum had some bleeding last night - Baby Peanut is well though Mum had an ultrasound today & I to to see my first pictures of my beloved sibling. We took a trip on a train as I watched Dad catch the train to work and was a little miffed i didnt get to join him, so we went with Grannyto have a yummy japanese lunch - here's me drininking my Ooishi(yummy) Miso soup, then on the train to walk on the harbour bridge.

I have been very well behaved while mum hasnt been feeling the best & am happy to read books with her while she lies down, or just potter about . I always say 'Feel better Mum' & give her a kiss when she feels sick & I enjoy giving baby peanut toys, I place them on Mum's belly & giving baby peanut snuggles. I have been asking for baby peanut to be born but mum says it wont be for a long time yet, & unlike My Aunty Nicole's baby girls(due in august) baby peanut won't kick me yet either, despite my regular requests. I was quite adament that baby peanut was a boy & was praying to God for it, but mum & i had a little chat & I think I'm ok with a boy or a girl now. One of my new favorite phrases is 'Come on' which Mum isnt quite sure about although it can be amusing at times- when I make pretend food I offer it to Mum saying 'try it mum....come on' so I sounds like a street vendor trying to ply my wares which makes mum laugh, but we have discovered it is a regularly used phrase in our car when the traffic is not so good, made mum & Dad realise the things they say regularly without thinking - good warning for them to watch their words carefully.

We went to our church 'holiday' this weekend. Mum & Dad heard fabulous talks from Philipians about unity,having passion & Joy in Christ, & putting others needs first. I had a great time playig with all my friends, this is one of my friends Abi, 1 of our minister's daughters, I am a massive fan of both Abi & her sister Sophie!! I rerquested for Mum & i to come and live at their place this week & I woke up this morning & yelled out "More Holiday" So a winner all round!

Daddy surprised me by playing postie(Yes on his postie :)...) bringing a package from the Jones Family over to Charlotte's house & I am the VERY proud & excited new owner of a 'cooter! We have visited the NSW Art Gallery a couple of times this summer, we happened upon this show which I very much enjoyed, as well as browsing the 'paints'

I also visited with Aunty Kaci to see an Indian paiting exhibition

I also went to Canberra to the Nattional Art Gallery for the Masterpieces of Paris exhibition from Musee D'Orsee with Mum, Dad, Granny, Aunty 'Cole, Uncle Nathan & Sha Sha - they had an awesome room that Mum & I visited with Wooden Fruit to cut, Still lifes to arrange, Stars to cut out...I had a ball!

Ive been hanging out with Mum's friend & my new friend Kaci which has been loads of fun - here is a little trip to a Japanese retaurant we made

She is very patient with me - even when I spent a long time saying no no no at her all the time, now I say Kaci alot which is much nicer all round, but occaisionally I revert to no Kaci or stop Kaci...... we went 2 the art gallery last week & did lots of running around the park & she has ignited a love affair with Mah Jong in me (& my mummy!!!)

ADVENTures Pt 1

My first Adventure was to the Opera House with ShaSha to watch the African Beats Baby Proms - I have been having a ball drumming & singing ever since - Mum has been a bit slack in getting the pics from Aunty Nicole - these are just after we saw it & lunch in the botanic Gardens.

A little sticker fun while we wrapped up Sharlie's pre christmas present.....

Painting the wrapping paper was awesome! I then helped Mum wrap the presents - I held the paper while she did the sticky tape, & then decorated them with pipecleaners. Some I did glitter handprints on....

I ended up with slightly painted hands & a lovely silver dot on my nose :)

I was a little sad I couldn't eat them all but in the end had greatfun taking them to all our neighbours with Dad!

One of My Favorite spots in TC is Nyinkka Nyunyu Indigenous Cultural/Art centre & Cafe - I LOVE going around looking at the art, animals & little historical displays, & the Bush Burger is delicious in the cafe, so we are rather frequent customers there...I also love looking about the grounds & playing in the dirt & Stones!This is 1 of the Peggy Jones Sculptures in the grounds...Here I am reminding Mum that I enjoyed the burger & perhaps we could do with more food now Stones!

This is back at our 'home' for the month - desert sands - they have a little play area, in cluding this awesoem bike & a pool

& a cat almost as friendly as the one at home

& a bird bath - I am demonstrating my keen climbing skills, Granny will be happy that Mum is being paid back for her love of climbing, although not quite as I have mastered getting down as well...

Apple juice & strawberry milk have been added to my diet here - anything 2 keep hydrated!

U/V Weekend took us to Tennant Creek so I shall do a few pics from our trip up here/while we are here so it is a little more current than usual....

Sharlie, Uncle Nathan & Aunty Nicole came to see us off....It was lovely! I Miss them all very much!Uncle Nathan took me to watch the planes while Mum & Dad bought food & Coffees - Note for Mums & Dads - cantr take your own coffee on the plane, but you can be last on the flight by sitting in the lounge sipping ur coffee til they call you on the plane :)I ( & Mum & Dad!!) was Stoked to get my own seat complete with headphones & buttons - although I insisted inplugging into mums one & her into mine so I controlled her channels/volume - mum was not too fussed as it meant i didnt deafen myself....I spent most of the flight quite happily playing in my seat with my toys & books - My new In the night garden jumping book from Eva was a big Hit - more on that one later.....In ALice Springs we had a ball - big pool which i am very keen to have a go in with Sha Sha& my new favorite toy - clock radios - so many buttons & it plays music i like

My new found climbing skills have come in handy to sit out on the balcony & admire the view of the poolI tried too befriend the Peacock - he didnt seem interested in my jacket though, Dad & I chased it around & got some lovely shots of his Unbelievable feathers thoughI slept all the way to Ti Tree on our road trip 2 out of 5 hrs is not bad I say! then we stopped ofr IceCream so my 1st impressoins of NT road tripping was quite goodNext Stop UFO Capital of Oz - yes there is 1 marked with a caravan park & these lovely things...I loved them! Next Installment will be the end of our road trip - stop 3 The Devils Marbles - would u believe there are giant Stones(one of my favorite words/things) shaped like Balls(another favorite word/thing)....ooh the excitement!!!

As you may have noticed V does not come after P but Mum has been slack in assisting me with my blog the last few weeks, so we will catch up along the way. We are in Tennant Creek for the next month & it is now V week & I thought I'd share some of my ever expanding Vocabularly with those of you who dont get to hear me Verbalise Very often.
People: mama, dada, Sha Sha - my cousin Sharlie, Nana = my cousin Leanna, Pete, Dean,nana - granny(sometimes)
Nana = I want, Ta - Thankyou/Please/please accept my gift( I love sharing - most of the time), Bubee - baby, na - ant, Ball, Bi - bike, brrm - car, various animals have noises rather than words attached - I can do chicken, monkey, elephant, horse, lion, duck, Cat is a high pitched excited squeal and i can say bir for bird.
bowl, bean, pea, mea = meat, boo = book, down = sit down go down, sometimes up - i find this a Very Versitile word, shoe, daydoh - playdough, blueberry(& sometimes shoe as I have playdoh on the bottom of my shoe) nigh - knife, nada = ladder, bm bm = basketball, Hiya - Hi, Baboo - peekaboo, num num - yummy, Aye - yes(I have decided I am Scottish at heart) - I say this with great basketball actions I have said spn for spoon but dont often. These are a few of my quickly expanding Vocab, I am learning to tell stories quite well too, my favorite for a while is Ball dada nada - as there are boys who play basketball next door & often there are balls on the roof so I like to reminisce about Dada using the ladder to get the balls off the carport roof - I check each day to see if we need to get any more down.
Yesterday I was pointing at a tree saying 'ball mama dada num num' Mum was quite slow on the uptake of my story but I was trying to explain that I had seen the mangos in the tree - I quite enjoy eating mango...so was pointing out to mum that they were there. Mango is now dado - I had just forgotten their name I thouogh num num ball was quite a useful substitute!

Most Appropriately Reachout Missions Conference was at Katoomba in the blue Mountains on M weekend, So Mum & I went along & had an awesoem weekend.
